NewsLILAC Accomodation Project Reaches Financial Close Known as LILAC, the Leeds Independent Living Accommodation Company project, reached financial close on Monday 9th June, 2008. This £65m PFI project aims to improve life for 350 adults across the city of Leeds, and also provide two new homes for disabled children and young people. This project forms a major part of the Leeds City Council’s Modernisation Programme to transform residential services for adults with learning disability and mental health needs, by allowing them to live as independently as possible within their local communities. Operis reviewed the financial model on behalf of the project sponsors, Gleeson PFI Investments, Progress Care Housing Association Limited and Jack Lunn Properties, and the lenders, Nord/LB.
